GOSSIP OF THE TURF TURFThe Tufted The attractions of the Montana circuit will evidently tell this year In this connection an exchange says W H Mays horses consisting of J H C Joe Clark Judge Quigley and eleven others will take in the Montana circuit this year The acquisition of this String to the Montana forces will be felt While outside of Judge Quigley there may be no horses of the firstclass fistulas the others seem to be able to care of themselves in any country and over any kind of a track This is true especially of those timetried timbered campaign ¬ ers Joe Clark and his younger brother J H C CJockey Jockey Jockey Jesse Everett is under contract to Mr May this season Everett will do all the riding for the stable and his reinforcement to the jockey ranks will be of some help helpMr helper Mr May will be sure to find his trip both pleasant and profitable and others of the middle western owners will find it very much to their interest to follow his example The twenty rich stakes of this circuit now open for entry close April 16 and that is adate adapted so near by that their liberal conditions are now a legitimate subject for carefnl careful study by owners of good horses horsesCol horses Col Cool W S Barnes and Ed Hopper secretary of the Latonia Antonia Jockey Club will probably be the judges on this circuit James B Ferguson will do the starting
