PETER McCUES McClure GREAT SPEED Peter McCue McClure ran a sparkling race at Lake ¬ side yesterday The Watkins colt was in the fifth race with Richard J Flotow Lotto and other fast Worses Worsens He had the same Master Martin on his Back who had muddled him in his last two races The ring did not overlook the colts speed and made him a 2i to 1 chance Richard J was the natural favorite around 8 to 5 But there was a financial hang about his price Sullivan messed the Morello Marcello colt about enough to subdue him and he finished in shabbiness shabbinessPeter shabbiness Peter McCue McClure got off in front and racing his field into submission in the first half mile won with a lot left in 1 01 It was an exceptionally good performance for such a track trackOut tracksuit Out of the second race at four and onehalf Neal furlongs came a pretty finish Buena Ventura ridden by Rntter Renter won by a narrow margin from Lieut Lieu Rollers filly Mouzeltoff Ouzel The winner was an 8 to 1 chance She has the reputation of lingering when questioned Master Rutter Ruttier got Ae fijly filly off well and using good judgment in i tJawing Jawing his whip in the last sixteenth won a pretty race Fay Belle was the class of the first race She won Her odds wore 2 to 1 Over her victory the ring had some pain Papa Harry easily scored in the second race and Topmast at a liberal price beat Candleblack Candlewick and Fonclif Foci handily in the mile race The closing event went to Lew Blew Hopper at 8 to 1
