NOTES OF THE TURF TURFA TURF A dispatch from New York under date of May 18 says Charley Patterson today pur pour ¬ chased five fairly good race horses From John E Madden he bought Great Bend who is entered in tho thou Suburban and also Benares Bearers From Phil Dwyer he purchased Passover and Rifle and from the Oneck Neck Stable he bought Deerslayer Deerstalker These and all the other horses in his stable Mr Patterson shipped to the Oakley Ankle track this afternoon It is his intention to confine his racing entirely to the west this season His brotherinlaw bothering Hiram Pierce ac ¬ companies Mr Patterson west westCharles escaroles Charles Boots will start oast Coast from San Fran ¬ cisco next week with his horses He will make Chicago his principal racing point and besides some 2yearolds will bring along The Roman Vinctor Victor Installator Installation Hohenzollern Borgia Borg and Twinkler Winkler TwinklerOwners Winkler Owners and trainers are cautioned against employing or harboring one Harry Rymalwhite 16 years old upon whom I have a threeyears threshers contract he having run away from my stable without any cause Edward Ross Detroit Mich Micah MichMrs Micah Mrs Elizabeth Rose was granted a divorce from the wellknown welkin bookmaker George Rose at San Francisco last Friday
