worst going It was a game performance Weird seemed to bo winning well into the stretch but went all to pieces in the last seventy yards Sir Hobart and Peg Parks struck a piece of good going on the far turn and raced from last places almost to the front Gnome as usual fluttered in front for a while She seems to be of no account whatever whateverScratched whatever Scratched Nellie Baker 113 F Garner Pirate Judge was the best horse Burns was slow in getting him away arid did not start to work on hitn hint soon enough in the stretch Martin went to his whip long before Burns and rode a powerful finish The same ride would have won on Pirate Judge Mulvihill Mulish got the path in the stretch and finished strong Campbell threw away third place on Elsie G at the stretch turn Instead of coming to the outside where the going was best he brought the filly to the center of the track and anchored her Fayette Layette is a good looker and may have some quality todayScratched He was short today The filly is game and stood a drive the last quarter After straightening away Borden faltered a trifle and bumped into Bonito Caywood Cawed straightened him though in a hurry and the interference did the stretch turn and beat Joe Clark to the path It was a tight pinch and Sunburst almost shut Joe Clark off The latter was the best horse in the race He was much used racing down the back stretch with Albert S Hill had the best of the going though and it was policy to keep to the front as long as he could Smith pumped Albert S out early and ho stopped almost to a walk in the stretch The track was to Pete Kitchens liking and he ran a fair race All four were very tired at the finish T Scratched Cherry Leaf 102 O F7 K FIFTH RACE58 Mile Purse 100 2yearolds Allowances Ind Indo Horses Wt St M H Str
