MAY RACE AT LEXINGTON M J Hull Davidson secretary and manager of tho thou Kentucky Association arrived in Lexing Flexing ¬ ton this week and has begun an active canvass of the prospects for a fall meeting If the peo peon ¬ ple pale of Lexington and vicinity will give encour encore ¬ agement argument and assistance Mr Davidson will hold a meeting and his personal opinion is that a meeting held in September would be successful though in the selection of dates Mr Davidson will bo largely influenced by the advice of breeders and turfmen Turkmen turfmenThere tormenter There will bo about 15000 soldiers camped here during September and Mr Davidson very reasonably believes that the patronage will add materially to the crowds and revenues of the meeting There are also 100 horses or more ready to race at the Kentucky Association track which would remain here if a meeting was held and with this nucleus there would be no diffi diff ¬ culty cult in securing all the entries desired New ¬ port which begins next month will not be able to accommodate all the horses in this section and the conflict would work no hardship to either track trackPool track Pool rooms more than any other cause par haps have injured racing in Lexington and as there has been no pool room in Lexington this season it looks like a fall meeting such as Mr Davidson proposes would bo successful in every respect Tho Theo Thoroughbred Record
