Gratify began slowly but closed up lost ground and ran an honeat race. Grandezia ip good in heavy ground and ran well. Syrlin ran his race and is at home in a heavy track. Paul Kruger showed improvement and will do to consider whon the track is heavy. McFarlane is hest on a dry track. Peru II is short. He is a good horse when fit. Simmons is not the Simmons of other days. The Plunger ran well to the stretch and then quit from lack of condition Bossin Lee wants a fast truck. Malay made up a lot of ground He is a stayer and dislikes a heavy track. Goal Runner is fast and a uood mud horse, but is a non-stayer. He quit b-dly when collared. Juva ran well and should be kept track of. Nora Ives was outclassed and Maud Gnagi dislikes sticky going. Scratched Magdalenes, 102; Anchored, 107 Overweights Rey Hooker, 1 pound ; Malay, 1.
