LOUISVILLE STAKES. Monday is the last day for making entries to the stakes offered by the New Louisville Jockey Club. Their conditions are fully set out in this edition of Daily Racing Foem. From the day racing was revived at Louisville in 1875, the club and track have been favorites with western turfmen and the meetings held there then and since have been replete with interesting memories of the performances of Aristides, Ten Broeck, Hindoo, Checkmate, Miss Woodford, Ben dOr, Luke Blackburn, Vagrant, Proctor Knott, Riley, Spokane, Halma, Ben Brush Ornament and a host of other racehorses mighty in their day and generation. As a racing organization the club ranks high and deserves the patronage it has always received and no . doubt will receive this year. The stakes now - offered are liberal in terms and no turfmen owning horses of proved worth or flattering promise should carelessly neglect making entries until it is too late.
