All the betting information on each race is printed in Dailt Racing Foem. There was probably a one-two-three price on The Dragoon at odd intervals of the betting in the ring at New Orleans Saturday, February 25, but such price was not reported. W. Showalters fast but erratic horse Box is reported to have wintered splendidly and shows so well that his trainer, Henry McDaniol, is hopeful that ho will race this year up to something liko the full measure of his frequently demonstrated great speed. Trainer James Coffey recently called a surgeon to operate on Bernardillo. Four pounds of blood were taken out of the racers neck. The doctor says Bernardillo is troubled with nervousness, which is due to too much blood. While exercising a horse for "White Hat" McCarty at the Inglosido track a few days ago jockey Charles Appleby had his collar bone broken and his shoulder dislocated through the horsos 8 tumbling and falling. The Thoroughbred Record of Lexington, Ky., still continues to print, without credit, a lot of matter from Daily Racing Form. The Records taste may bo good enough but its idea of property rights is dim. Tho 1898 Futurity winner, Martimas, is likely to make his first appearance in the Windsor Hotel Stakes ,500, a -dash of one milo to be run at the Bel Air track, Montreal, at the Juno meeting. Trainer W. Shields has been pardoned by the California racing authorities. It was shown that he was the victim of a conspiracy in the Lord Chesterfield case. Ed Corngan has purchased Olive from George Bertolacci for 00. Corrigan formerly owned tho mare, but sold her to A. B. Spreckels for,C00. Dunois, now at San Francisco, is said to be almost a sure starter in the Montgomery Handicap to be run at Memphis in April. Jockey Beauchamp has been engaged to do the riding for J. K. Redmon in 1899.
