Heigh Ho, too, was favored by the mud and ran above her recent mark. Jim Brownell ran well to the stretch but gave it up when collared. Socialist ran a fair race. Tom Calvert gave a dismal exhibition of lack of speed. Roadrunner did not like the mud. Scratched 9880 Kaiser Ludwig, 116. - Overweights Texarkana, 4 pounds. Corrected weights Tom Calvert, 113. Solace showed a lot of speed but weakened when Orthia came to her. She is a mudlark. Garbo made up ground in the stretch and ran a fair race. Burdoc showed speed but was green and not ready. Will do to watch. Jennie Riley was overweighted and none too well handled. Scratched 109662Rachael C, 105. Orthia, place, 2 to 1; show, 4 to 5. Solace, place, 6 to 5; show, 1 to 2. Winner-B. h, by Lord Clifden Tennie B. Start good. Won pulled up. Pat Morrissey is a star in the mud and wonderfully good just now. He smothered the field early and was only tiotting at the end. Rod Glenn did his best and was well ridden. The track was in Plans favor and he ran a fair race under bad riding. It was too far for Imperious. Lime Water did not run to the mark. Dare II.s race was a bad one also, though the track was not such as he likes. Pat Morrissey, place, 1 to 2. Red Glenn, place, 8 to 5; show, 4 to 5. Plan, show, 7 to 5. -jQQgg FIFTH RACE 3-4 Mile. Etta H. ran a good race, though moving sore as she went to the post. Jinks was off slowly and hampered early, despite which she hardly ran her race. Highland Ball ran to the mark, as also did MoriDga. Amasa dislikes mud. Is very fast on a dry track. The others were outclassed. Festoso won mainly because of a strong, well-judged ride. Peter Weber was oil badly and closed a big, space of ground and was running fastest at the end, Ya-ruba was lucky and ran above the mark. Tiburon would have been a contender with better handling. Gin Sling showed a dash of f peed, but stopped in the stretch. So did The Miller. Scratched Minnawa, 112; 10944 Judge Wofford, 109.
