NOTES OF THE TURF. Jockey Bullman has signed with W.B.Jen nings for the eastern campaign. Jennings will have second call on Bullmans services, and Pnrser first. Purser, however, will take only four horses east. JenniDgs will race at San Francisco two weeks longer and ship in time to reach New York about the middle of April. Bnllman will ride Briar Sweet and Bendoran in their big stake engagements. The St. Louis Derby is to be run Saturday, Jnne 24, at the Fair Qrounds. A big gathering of Elks is scheduled for that week, and the largest Derby crowd in years is expected. Fred Haskia. of Hamilton, has secured the betting privileges of the Ontario Jockey Clubs meeting. As in the past, every reputable bookmaker will be allowed to weigh in. The latest arrivals at the Newport track are John Rodegap with eleven horses; W. H. Mc-Corkle, seven, in charge of Will Mc Daniels, and T. G. Calvert, with seven head. Tony Licalzi has also about decided to ship Al Fresco, Lady Ellerslie and the others of his string to Washington. W..B, Jennings Bays that St. Gatien is the grandest looking thoroughbred he has yet seen.
