After that he had the race to himself. Lobengula ran about his usual race. He was closing stoutly at the finish. Kings Guard bad poor racing luck So had Nekarnis. who was sharply interfered with on the tirst turn. Yours Truly was shut off half a dozen times. It was a bad lot. Scratched— 12493 Elidad, 108. Wiener— Br. m, by Duke of Montrose — Laura W. Post 6 minutes Start good. Won in a terrific drive of two; third and fourth were driving as hard. Tuis was a good race. Goebel perhaps should have won. Dupee used miserable judgment en him and finished weakly when the pinch came. The early pace was killing end Beauchamp cleverly u ok Afamada back. He rode a good race on thi fitly and put up a very strong finish. The same ride on Abe Furst would have landed him much closer up. Knight was not strong enough to help him any when the pinch came Boriey Boy was right theie. He is truly an "iron ho se." Considering it was Coeval dOrs first out he ran a good race. Tony Lici-lzi showed early speed Pope Leo had no speed at all. Winner— B. h, by Eolus— Glaoiola. Off at first break to a good start. Won easily; second cleverly; third and fourth driving to the limit. At KM weights Al Fresco was much the best. He was well ridden. Nntt evaded the early pace and took his time bafore making his move. He evidently knew he was on the best hoi-e. From the bead of the stretch home there was nothing to the race. Al Frescos race was a great improvement over bis last one, but that was in the mud and he carried heavy weight. Clay Pi jDter hboat ran bis race. Beauchamp rode a bid race on him and went all around bis field on the far turn. Egbart was right there. Be is a good horse now. Monk Wayman faltered on the stretch turn, but came on again un ler punishment. John Biker did not rnn his race. He wax poorly ridden. Tenby was overweighted. Scratched— 12561 Bon. y Boy, 92. Erla dOr finished gamely She came to and passed Nullab like a good i -ce hone when under the whip in the ttret h Nullah has a lot of sp?ed but no heart. When collared on the turn she weakened badly.
