She was fortunate in getting away and always had clear sailing. Erla d Or had good luck, too, and ran a fair race. The ride on Irene Hayes spoiled whatever chance she had. McCann got the filly shut off half a dozen times and made all kinds of bad lurk for her. Diana Fonso had an easy race. Silvers did not seem to urge the filly in the stretch. Zeriba ran a fair race. So did My Eugenia— as far as she went. Wasanta stumbled and threw Knight in a false break and hurt the bof »o badly that he could not ride Holden was substituted. Winner— B. g. by Himyar or Tournament— Glide. Off at first break to a good start. Seattle was driven out to the last ounce; second, third and fourth were driving hard. Seittlebeata bad lot in an unimpressive way. Had the race bean twenty yards further he certainly would have lost. Kings Guard, after much bad racing luck, got through on the stretch turn and finished very strong. As the race was run he was the best and should have won. Sunburst, poorly ridden and on the outsida all the way, ran a gjod race He ran much farther than any other hoi se. Hosi came stoutly at the end. Mark him. He ran a fair race. Woodranger stopped badly at the end. Possum was jumped on and badly cut down. Uncle Abb was the cause. Yonrs Truly pulled np very lame. Start good. Won ia a hard drive; second and third were driving just as hard. Little Singer was nic-ly handled and ran h good, game race. Narvaez had the filly in a good position all the way and brought h»r up with a rattle in the stretch. Amyntas seemed to stumble and fell at the half mile ground, and Crganda fell over her. Both riders were bady hurt Red Gidd was fully extended to get the place. He is a coward. So is La Champagne, who had cle*r sailing and no excuses. Neuberger wp.s obliged to take up when Amyntas and Urganda fell. This spoiled his chances. Bryan was not ready. Neither was Storm Queen. The latter had speed.
