Vititoe had him in a good position all the way and came with a rush in tbe stretch Georgie showed fine speed and ran a good race. She is faint-hearted, though, and hung whtn tbe pinch came. Mocorito did well. She was jammed into and sharply interferpd with at the Btart. This was a vast improvement ore- her last race. Jim Gore II. had bid racing luck. So had Free Hand, win was bampsd into and almost thrown by Little Jack Horner in the stretch. When the latter stopped ho stopped all over. Natt got off flying with Thrive, avndevery bit of ground possible, and when tbe piocta came finished with grant power. The eame rids would have n ade Rosa Dtab win. Booker did the be ft he could, but was not strong enough to help the filly at the end. Thrive was under th whip from hn head of the strptch home Florizar is a slow reginner. and owins to this got sharply cat rff on the first turn. Crowhurst was then compelled to go around his field. As tbe rare was run Florizar was perhaps the best Clara Wooley was rocknted.and had no chance to get through in the stretch. The other two were outclassed. Scratched 14196 Brown Thrush. 90. Winner Ch, f, by Bobby Beach Faithless. Post 10 minutes. Start good for all but Tulla Fonso. Won hand ridden but with something: left. There was a lot of pctioo behind the winner. May Beach ia a good filly and in grand form. She galloped the others into submission in the first tbree-quarters and losfed the rest of the way.. Atno part of the journey dfd Mizoah have a chince to beat her. The latter ran his race and had no exouses. Andes did well. Mark him. He is becoming goad. Tulla Fonso bolted when the barrier went up aud was practically left. After that the filly showed fine speed and maoe up a lot of ground. Deering ran as if short. Winner Ch h, by Fonso Janet. Oil at the first break to a good start. Won easily; the next two wen driving to the limit. Serrano won a very easy race. He was cleverly rated in front and whin it came to a sprint at the end be left the other two as if they were tied. All the riders evidently had waiting orders and the trio went at a snails pace to the stretch. This raado it all the better for Serrano. Crocket barely lasted long enough to take second place. She was tiring and Rafaello coming-fast at the end. No place odds. Tf OQQ FIFTH RACE 1 1-4 Miles. Purse 00. 5 to second ; 5 to thirZ JL iz l O fjs 3-year-olds and upward. Selling. He simply cantered through the. last furlong. Croesus had more early spaed than usual and ran a good race. Plantain stopped, to a walk in the stretch. Pan Charm finished very strong. Periwigs poor showing would be hard to explain. He ran well for abont five furlongs and then tired. Beauchamp says he got shut off on the far tnrn but the horse was beaten then.
