Winner Ch. c, by Fonso Lesbia. Post 14 minutes Start fair. Won pulling up ; second hard driven and out to the last ounce ; third and fourth driving also. Parmenion is a flne-lookicg colt, far outclassed this lot and was in a soft spot. He was pulled almost to a walk in the final sixteenth. Orletta showed her usual fine speed and lasted longer than she ever did before. Everything considered, the price was out of line on this filly. Scarlet Lily ran a fair race. Bo did Myrtle Gebaur, who had bad racing luck. Wallonitoin tried to run out on the stretch turn. Hansford never had a winning chance. Winner Ch. g, by Panique Suspense. Off at the first break to a good start. Won very easily. There was not much aotion behind the winner Pat Garrett was fortunate in getting away flying, always had clear sailing, and under clever handling ran a good race. Racivan could not handle the weight successfully. About 100 pounds is his measure. The Bondman ran his usanl honest race. Synia had a rough journey. She got into an ugly-looking jam on the first turn. This ruined whatever chances she had of winniog. Uhler was also rooghly treated. In fact, he never got clear. Throw this race out for him. Juggler II. quit after going about three fnrlongs. The winner was entered for 00, but was rnn up to 05 and bonght in. C. R. McLsan was tho runner up. Winner B. c, by Sir Modred Faux Pas. Off at the first break to a fair start. Won easily; secondhand ridden; third driven out. Tulane handled his weight well and won like a gentleman. There was never a part of the road that he couldnt have gone to tho front. The colt won as he pleased, but Burns was very cautious and took no chances. His costly experience on Jackanapes has evidently taught him a lesson. Aba Furst was very rank. He almost pulled Nutt out of the saddle down tho backstretch when the latter tried to place him. Silver Tone about ran his race. Mark Hop Scotch at seven-eighths. He went well for a short distance. Tulane, place, out. Aba Furst, place, 9 to 10 ; show, out. YT1QQ FOURTH HA CE 3-4 Mile. Dugan took the short ronte with him and Baved ground all tho way. He was driviDg the gelding hard in the last quarter. Ida Ledford, as the race was rnn, was much the best. Little Dominick Boemed to get rattled and did everything but fall off the filly. Had ha come through on the inside at the head of the stretch and thrown his whip away ho could not have lost. Bertha Nell, Free Lady and Maggie Davis all hung when the pinch came. It was a false rua race. Overweights Damocles, 4 pounds. Damocles, place, 6 to 1 : show, 2 tol. Winner B. g, by Midlothian Misfortune. Post 8 minutes Start straggling. Won cleverly at the end after a hard early drive. Cata-stropho ran a game race. Conloy was hard at werk on him through the last quarter, and his horse under strong riding outstayed the others. At tho eighth post any of the first six bad a chance to win. Tillie W , poorly handled and handicapped by bad racing luck, made a good showing. Bitter Root showed mnch speed and peomed to be winning on the home turn but weakened in the closiag drive. He palled up quit lame. McCleary ran as if short and stopped badly at the end. Thi? race will do him good. Jimp does not seemingly amount to mnch.. Neither Tappan nor Cabrillo had a chance after the start. Scratched 143872 Mary Kinsella, 104; 14294 Chauncey Fisher, 104; 14387Little Singer, 104; 14292 Elidad, 107. Doutor Nembnla was ridden to perfection and ran a high-class race-Judging from this race the Doctor is a crackajack. He loafed in behind the pacemakers to tho stretch and then came away on rail. Gold Foxs race was a grand one. He was interfered with on tho first turn and lost a lot of ground. Then Knight hustled him along and made up his lost ground too rapidly. Tulla Fonso and Nickey D. raced esch other into exhaustion in the first throe-qcerters. Mark Rubel for early action in lower company. Scratched 144023Macj, 107. Corrected weights Nickey D., 107.
