A GREAT SALE. The eale to be conducted by Messrs. Woodard and Shanklin, during the week of November 27, to December 2 at Lr.xington will likely prove one of the greatest they have ever held, judging from the quality of the consignments they announce. Although there are more than 5C0 bead to be Bold, it is not merely a sale of a large number of thoroughbred horses, but in most cases horses of worth and such as will be oegerly bid upon by all who desire to strengthen their farms or stables. The yearlings to be scld number in all 250 head, and they are the product of some of the most noted establishments In America. The list includes a number of brothers and sisters to the greatest of stake winners, and are represented to be an exceedingly valuable and choice lot. Certainly from such a large nnmber ve believe the most ever offered in any one sale in this country, one should have no difficulty in picking a "good one," and doubtless many rare bargains will be secured. The hcrrea in training are about 1C0 head, including the wonderful trio, namely, Anna Bain, Unsightly and Merito, the "crackB" of 1899 two-year od fillips. Serrano, the best egad horBe of the West during 1899. will also be told, as well as a most valuable contingent from the successful stable of Messrs. J. W. Schoir, including Algol a high-claes horte, W. Overton stake winner, Streamer, Presbyterian stake winner, The BuBb. Wilson. Yoloco, Aberdale and others. J Mr. EuRene Leigh will dispote of his Western stable, including High Degree a stake winner, Wiedemann. Mr. Brown, Zonne end othir winners. Mr. W. H. McOikle seers his entire string, Lightning Exprete, Feiry D II, etc. J W. Apple-fate and Durham will teh their entire string, Merito, Romanoff, Joe Grady, etc. Other consignments include Vohicer, Piince Real, Miss GusBie, Caviar and numerous other valuable and useful horses. The 200 stallions, broodmares and weanlings to be sold fare fully up to the hieh standard of other divisions of this great sale, and include both the sires and the dams of any number of the best of Americas "raceborsss." It will ba a sale that no horseman can afford to miss, for no matter what his wants may be he can be supplied from the 500 head to be sold. Catalogues giving complete information will be ready November 18, and will be mailed only upon application to Messrs. Woodard and Shanklin. It will prove a useful study to any who are at all interested in the thoroughbred horse.
