A GREAT SALE. The sale to be condncted by Messrs. Woodard and Shanklin, during the week of November 27, to December 2 at Lexington will likely prove one of tho greatest they have ever held, judging from the quality of the consignments they announce. Although there are more than 500 bead to be sold, it is not merely a sale of a large number of thoroughbred borses, but in most caBea horses of worth and such as will be eegerly bid upon by all who desire to strengthen their farms or Btables. The yearlings to be sold nnmbsr in all 250 head, and they are the product of some of the most noted establishments lh America. The list includes a number of brothers and sisters to the greatest of stake winners, and are represented to be an exceedingly valuable and choice lot. Certainly from such a large number we believe the most ever offered in any odb sale in this country, one should have no difficulty" in picking a "good one," and doubtless many tare bargains will be secured. Tbe borrea in training are about 100 head, including the wonderful trio, namely, Anna Bain, Unsightly and Merito, the "cracks" of 1899 two-year oid Allies. Serrano, tho beet aged horse of the West during 1899. will also be sold, as well as a most valuable contingent from the succostful stable of Messrs. J. W. Schorr, including Algol a high-class horee, W. Overton stake winner, Btreamer, Presbvterian stake winner, The Bnsh, Wilson, Ycloco, Aberdale and others. Mr. Eugene Leigh will dispose of his Western stable, including High Degree a stake winner, Wiedemonn. Mr. Brown, Zonne end othr winners. Mr. W. H. Apple-gate and Durham will tell their entire string, Merito, Romanoff, Joe Grady, etc. Other consignments include Vohicer, Prince Real, Miss Gnssie, Caviar and numerous other valuable and useful horees. The 200 stallions, broodmares and weanlingB to be Bold are fully up to the hiarh standard of other divisions of this great sale, and include both the sires and the dams of any number of the best of Americas "racehorses." It will ba a eale that no horseman can afford to miss, for no matter what his wants may be he can be supplied from the 500 head to be sold. It will prove a useful study to any who are at all interested in the thoroughbred horse.
