NOTES OF THE TURF. Inquirer, Chicago. 3o far Burns and Water-house have started Panamint, Napamax, Dr. Sheppard, Humidity, Southern Girl, Pat Mor-rieaey, Recreation, Duckoy, Lovedal, Gauntlet, Bachael C, Obsidian, Bit of Fashion, Marplot, Corolla, My Gypsy. Essence, Ned Dennis, Mid-love, Ban Tomaa and Mt. McGregor II. during the present meetings at Oakland and Tanforan and with them have won 43 races. G. P., Chicago. Typhoon II. won the Kentucky Derby of 1897, basting Ornament by a neck. There is to be a steeplechase course constructed at Tanforan. - The useful filly Norma Taylor died at New Orleans Monday night.
