It was a driving finish Bragg on the outside finished with a tremendous rush and did just get up in time to win He was bumped into and interfered with on the far turn but stood this gamely and ran a really game race Little Scout swerved at the head of the stretch but when straightened out camo again stoutly and made an extra good showing compared with his last race Hihasa was too much used racing with Brissac in the first part of it and hung when the pinch came Briesac had no excuses He got away fully in hia stride took the shortest ronte and was beaten on his merits Dngan on lllowaho mot with interference at the start and was compelled to pull the colt up to keep frpm falling This mined whatever chance ho may have had and considering the strong way in which he finished it was a good one first four finished so closo together that they were hard to separate all wore driving to the limit It was tho most spectacular finish of tho season Remark took the shortest ronte and was woll ridden Tho fin ¬ ish on him was full of power As the race was run Fedoral perhaps should havo won He got into a lot trouble early and was obliged to run around horses in front of him on the stretch bend thereby losing ground Ho finished with a rush and would havo got tho verdict in another stride Emma M quit all over in the last fifty yards Canoya also hung The latter pulled up on three legs and seems to be hopelessly broken down Pencil Me ran a smashing good raco Lady Idris plainly showed she is of little or no account The others cut no sharp figure at any stago of it itOverweights long hard drive of two Tho next three were also very busy Strangest improved over his last race which was a good ono It was perhaps the best raco of his career Davisson Eeems to understand the horse and on him rode a clover race Boney Boy was entirely too much used by pacemaking Ho looked to hava everything his own way at the head of the stretch but hung at tho end Morito did her best all the way She took the longest route however and was not handled to the best of advantage Advance Guard was running over horses at the finish He looked the handsome piece of racing machinery that he is going to tho post but was handicapped by little Martin who is not nearly strong enough to do the big horse justice In fact Advanco Guard did as ha pleased the entire journey and never seemed to tako a notion
