Nitrate improved suddenly, away poorly ho came strongly throughout the last quarter and had something left but was under a mild drive. Lou Ray also improved surprisingly and made up much ground from a poor beginning. Gray Dally was poorly ridden and should have been closer up. The early fast pace waB too much for Misleader and The Prido of Surrey, but they hung on well. Orla is far from being the filly she was when hore last spring.
