NOTES OF TELE TURF. Jockey Chailts Yandasm has received a letter from a gentleman in Philadelphia, conveying v the information that h, the Philadelphian, has been commiesionad bj an Austrian racing man to secara for him a rider, and he has made Van-dneen v an offer of ,500 to ride in Austria the coming season. In all probability Yandnsan will accept the offer. Bnnello shows a liking for a sloppy track. He likes to get ont in front and run by himsalf. Disturber, the horse that J. N. Mounce took to California from New York, is getting in good shape and should prove to be a nsafnl breadwinner. Pirates Queen was long overdao. In a number of her starts she had shown mnch speed, especially over a fast track. Her last race, which was in the mud, showed she was coming back to her good form. Handicapper Brooks of the Oakland Jockey Club announces that the weights for races next week will be on a higher scale, giving such boys r as Bnllman and Spencer a chance to ride without reducing. Jockey Booker makes his headquarters at Brighton Beach, and, besides exercising F. G. Friabios horses, he is keeping himself fit by taking many other ozercise mounts. Malay has about rounded to his best form and may be regarded as a dangerous factor in all handicaps at New Orleans hereafter, especially when mud prevails. Word comes from San Francisco that YV. E, Applogata Jr. has not been meeting. with much success of late in the booking line.
