Torsina, in a pocket and shut off and poorly handled, ran a cracking good race. Frid-olin and El Rey were both outrun throughout. Alfred C. is in bad form apparently. Goldona received a lucky start, was rated carefully and saved ground on the turns, drew away in the stretch and finished strongly under pressure. Jim Hals ran in close attendance and appeared to be beaten on the stretch turn, and then came again fast in the last fifty, yards and was going strongest at t e end and iB much improved. Bedeck brok fiatfooted, was interfered with on the first turn, waited too long on the backstretch with the pace slow, then was c jmpelled to race around the entire field on the stretch turn and was probably best. Captain Gaiues was closing up strongly at the end and will do to watch. Miss Maa Day quit badly in the stretch. Orleans was outclassed. Overweights Jim Hale, 4 pounds. Qoldone, show, 2 to 5.
