and Oer Land and Sea and Flash of Injury two Prince of Monaco fillies W C Whitneys colt Nasturtium will not be a starter in the English Derby Sydney Paget who recently returned from a visit to England is au ¬ thority for the above statement Mr Paget says that he saw Nasturtium inHuggins stable at New ¬ market and that it is impossible to get the colt in condition to start in the classic event Mr Paget says the horse has gone all to pieces that ho has lost flesh and that his muscles havo shrunk per ¬ ceptibly He is but a shadow of the grandlooking animal that landed big and fresh in England epidemic of influenza at once Bill Nixon the promising twoyearold colt by Ornus Sewing Girl the property of Fizer Co died last Friday morning at Cumberland Park Nashville Tenn of pneumonia The youngster was shipped there from New Orleans a few days ago and while on the road contracted a deep cold which resulted in his death Bill Nixon won the Premier Stakes at New Orleans recently in which
