LOCAL TURF GOSSIP. Tom Wallace, which was a carded starter in tho fifth race, fell in his preliminary gallop and by permission of the judges was excused from starting and an interval of twenty minutes allowed. Many horsemen have Bent their horses to the Worth track and Secretary Nathanson and his assistants find it difficult to fill the races. Judge John F. Morse, presiding judge at Washington Park and Worth, was an interested spectator at Harlem yesterday. Steve LHommedieu and Billy Shannon drew in yesterday and will book at Harlem the remainder of the current meeting. Secretary Howard, of the Washington Park Club, was a visitor at Harlem yesterday. Herodiade and Montanic will in future be barred from starting at Harlem on account of their unruly actions at the post.
