Coustantia ran on the inside next to the rail for the entire trip and Notter had he-iinder slight restraint to the stretch turn, but she faltered when called on. Mav Rowe broke slowly bu closed a big gap and finished with a great burst of speed after swinging wide on the home turn. Tom -.Afee ran well to the stretch and tired. Rickey broke slowly, ran on the outside all the wav and. closing a f,ap, finished gamely Conville was outrun all the way and will do better on a fast track. Kings Daughter, away with a rush, quit after Jack Atkin passed her. Platoon was speedy, but was used up in an attempt to keep pace with the winner. Goldway, on the outside at the post, was forced to go around on the outside to get up, moved up fast after entering the homestretch, but .took a tiring swerve over to the inside after he passed Delmore. St. Noel, in close quarters on the backstretch, was taken back and went to the outside when entering the homestretch and finished gamely under a drive. Delmore outbroke the others and set a fast early pace and might have been second but for interference. Terns Rod ran well. John McBride closed a gap. Water Dog, Highwind and Docile were bumped into at the start and crowded out of any chance. Fonso-luca showed speed, but failed to stay. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Savoir Faire was outrun all the way and could never get up. Pride of AA oodstock only ran fairly well. Proteus and Lucy Marie showed speed, but failed to stay.
