RESPESS SECURES JOCKEY E MARTIN rxjuisville Ky April 1 J B Rcspess has secured a contract on the services of jockey E Mar ¬ tin beginning with the first day of the meeting hero next month until November 1910 Martin Is now riding at Santa Anita Park where he is under contract for the meeting to the Pasadena stable and has been very successful there this winter having finished first in thirtyone races to date Respess was first attracted to Martin when he was riding at Latonia last fall for K Spence who took him to California CaliforniaTalbot Talbot Bros the Paris breeders and turfmen will ship twelve horses here In the near futuro Most of them are homebred twoyearoldds by Kllkcrran and the first foals by that sire to race Trainer John Walters Is expected here in a few days from Cumberland Park Nashville Tenn with twelve horses belonging to George Hendrle of De ¬ troit The best In the stable Is the threeyearold filly Grande Dame which is being pointed for the Kentucky Oaks
