THE CYLLENESCEPTRE FILLY BEATEN The lilly by the 125000 Cyllcnc out of the 125 000 Sceptre mado her first appearance at New ¬ market July 3 in the Fulbonrno Stakes and was beaten by three Lord Howard de Waldens Galli JiuloExcellenza colt winning On the latter Morn ington Cannon once the leading English jockey was expected to make his reappearance But rheuma ¬ tism has about settled Cannon and Higgs had the mount mountThe The Sportsmans critic writes of the Sceptre filly She was very raw and green indeed and even when cantering seemed to hardly know what she was do ¬ ing But she Is a beautiful filly well grown and built on just the same lines as her dam vhose curious frontal development she has inherited ex ¬ actly She is a somewhat lighter bay than Sceptre find has not got black legs but otherwise they are wonderfully like one another and I have no doubt the filly will give a very different show next time she runs
