RICHARD CROKER SELLS THREE YOUNGSTERS Richard Croker has sold to F J Benson with their engagements the yearling colt The Battler and twoyearolds Alabama and Levalto with all their engagements It is opined that Mr Croker is to reduce his racing stable before he leaves for Amer ¬ ica this fall He has been far from lucky this sea ¬ son Rhodoras bad form and Orbys complete breakdown himThe have seriously disappointed him The Battler is a chestnut colt by Lesterlln 01 Cloumel out of Riioda S dam of Rhodora Orby and Alabama He Is In the Rons Memorial Stakes of 1000 and Saudown Kclipso Atlantic Stakes Chester Vase Jockey Club Stakes and Princess of Wales Stakes of 1010 1010Alabama Alabama is a chestnut filly by Americns Riioda B and has twentytwo stake engagements in this and future seasons among them the Derby and Oaks 1010Levalto of 1000 and the rich futures of 1010 Levalto is a chestnut by l eveno out of Latona II and was purchased by Mr Croker a year ago from K Flannery He was engaged in nine stakes for 100S and has four 100S and six 1000 engage incuts before him in the Great Yorkshire Plate Tatersalls Stakes Imperial Produce and Middle Park Plate in 100S ami in 1000 he is in the Derby Ches ¬ ter Vase St Leger St George Stakes Atlantic Stakes Royal Stakes and Great Yorkshire Stakes
