Cymbal would not extend himself for the lirst three-Quarters, but came fast in the stretch and nroba- bly was best. Ethel Carr ran well, but tired after going three-quarters. Wine Merchant was in close quarters for three-quarters and tired slightly in the final driye. Masscn ran fairly well, Bannghor showed :-peed, but quit in the last half. Whisk Broom came from a long way back in the last quarter and stood a bard drive gamely through the last furlong. Beth Goodwin, going wide most of the way, closed a gap and ran well. Bitter Sir ran a poor race from a slow beginning. Blue Lee was never a serious contender and can do better. Blister showed early speed. Lady Hapsburg ran a jnoor race. Berwick followed Honest closely for the first five furlongs, wore him down iu the last furlong and won drawing clear. Honest was speedy and set the pace fast, but tired slightly in the final drive. Darknight trailed distantly for a half, but came fast in the stretch and wore Dainty Dame down in the last sixteenth. Buffons, after going a half, came with a rush and outstayed Miss Crittenden for second place. The latter was in closest pursuit to the stretch, but tired in the deciding drive. AVar-licld began slowly and had a rough trip. Dr. Barkley was away slowly and closed a big gap, but can do ruch better. Dearie ran well, but tired in the stretch.
