The racing now going on at the half-mile DufTcrin Park track, near Toronto, has not attracted much attention, but is so purely racing for betting pur- poses only Uiat it is displeasing to the organized racing bodies of Canada, and quite probably will result in outlawry for the participants and outlawry that will stand. The following fair warning to all concerned speaks for itself: "Toronto. OnL. October 15. 1D08. "Daily Racing Form: "The Canadian racing associations lo not approve of such a meeting as is now being held by the York Riding and Driving Club at Dufferin Park. Toronto. as being in their opinion opposed to the true inter-. ests of racing, and hereby call the attention of-Z owners, trainers, jockeys and all officials connected therewith to their first expression of opinion In this matter. "W. P. Fraser. "Secretary." Toronto. Ont.. October 15. W. P. Fraser. secre- tary of the newly formed Canadian Racing Associa- Hon. today Issued a notice to owners, trainers, jock-e eys and officials connected with the Dufferin Park track that "this was the first expression of opinion" of the new association, the Inference Is that "the nert expression tf opinion" will be an edict of outlawry. The Dufferin Park management have made no statement, but it is said on good authority that they will continue to race to a paying patron- age. 1
