This -pair ran a most sensational race for the Autumn Breeders Foal Plate of .,440 at the Manchester September meeting. Mother-in-I.aw was in receipt of seven pouuds from Electra. and on previous form the latter should be easily able to give awavthat amount and win. but the form proved wrong, for after one of the most stirring finishes ever seen at Manchester, Mothcr-in-Law won by a head.
