POCOMOKE DONATED TO BREEDING BUREAU Montreal Que February 11 The fourvearold chestnut colt Pocomoke by The Friar Stars has been donated to the Canadian Breeding Bureau by J t llamlll Pocomoke is a fine individual a good racer and formerly raced in the colors of Thomas F Clyde His sire The Friar is by the famous rlar s Balsam and Poeomoke is the first horse of this stout breed to be secured by the bureau Stare was out of Aquila by Sterling and was one of the choice mares of the McGrathiana Stud Pocomoke Is now at Jacksonville and will be brought north with other choice stallions secured there for the Canadian Breeding Bureau including Acrobat ami Great Heavens The bureau management is prouil of Acrobat for he is a typical St Simon horse and his dam Syrienne is beautifully bred being by Sir Mndrtd out of Irian bv King Ban out of Irene by Leamington Great Heavens is one of the best looking sons of Stnr Shoot He was a stake winner on the Canadian circuit last year
