LEXINGTON STAKES DECIDED UPON. Lexington. Kv.. Mav 20. — The subcommittee appointed at the recent meeting of thoroiiglilucd horse breeders has recommended the renewal of the Breeders Futurity for 1912. under the original conditions excepting tliat the distance be increased ta four and one-half furlongs, and the weights be 115 pounds Tor colts and 112 pounds for fillies and geldings. The committee further recommends that the Bine Grass Stakes, for three -year-olds, at a mile and an eighth, which is to have its first running next spring, be renewed for 1912. and also that tic Cani.lcn Handi-cao for 1911. instead of being for three year olds at a mile and an eighth, be for three y.-ai -olds and upward at a mile and a sixteenth. The committee recommends also that two consolation purses he given witli the Breeders Futurity each year, one for .ops and one for fillies, and thai there Ik? a eaaaaU-tiou purse to the Blue Grass Mates and the Camden Handicap. It Is intended that the Blue Grass Stake- shall be in the nature of a preliminary to the Kentucky Derby.
