NINE DAYS FOR LEXINGTON RACING. Lexington, Ky.. August lO.— -The directors of Ihe Kentucky Association at a meeting today authorized — .=1 Secretary G. D. Wilson to make application to the Kentucky State Racing Commission for dates from September l!i to September 28, nine days, the understanding being that Louisville has applied for nine- t i days, beginning October 1. and that Latonia will ask for twenty-four days beginning October 24. It is generally expected that the racing commission will sanction these dates. The directors further authorized the opening of live stakes, each with a value of 00 added. 0 entrance and 5 additional to start, to dose August 31. and Voted that .50 and $::iM shall he added to the overnight purses. Catesbv Woodford was elected to succeed the late James E. Clay on the board of directors. William H. Shelley was chosen racing secretary. Stakes to be given are: Phoenix Hotel Handicap, three-year-olds and upward, mile and an eighth; Lexington Brewery Selling Stakes, three-year-olds and upward, one mile and twenty yards: Blasendorf Handicap, ail ages, three-quarter* of a mile; Idle Hour Farm Handicap, two-yenr-qjda, three-quarters of a mile; Nursery Stud Sidling Stakes, two-year-olds, three-quarter* of a mile. Todays running race for a purse of 00. for two-year aid*, at three-quarters of a mile, at the BhM Crass Fair, resulted as follows: Earl Banff, 100 W. Paul 1 Mesmeric. 112 C. Porter § Hickey, 112 W. Franklin | Time, 1:16%. Dancing Queen also ran. The firsl and second horses 1mishcd heads apart.
