NOTES OF THE TURF. King Georges Miraltean won the Princess Plate, rareed al 81,500, at Newmarket Friday from Halma. Hose Yerte. winner of the Trench Oaks, returned ill the nuitucls : to 1 straight and 86 to 1 to show. Governor Grace of Oklahoma was an interested spectator of Saturdays racing at Oklahoma City, as a guest of the Oklahoma City Jockey Club. U. R. Bradley has decided not to take up Bobby Boyer until next fall. That son of Orlando has been running out at the Idle Hour Farm since he was Shipped to Kentucky from Juarez, Mex., last April. The betting ring at the Butte track is being enlarged in preparation for the approaching meeting. Some 360 square feat will be added to its area. A n w Street car loop to the entrance of the enclosure is another improvement. Some thirty horses are In training at the track. James Gritliu has about decided to go to Canada at the close of the Latonia meeting with Fairy Story and two other horses. He will first try the Windsor meeting. The other members of his stable, chiefly two-year-olds and still in the maiden class, he will ship from here to Louisville to rest until fall. It is unlikely that Eugene Elrod will be in condition to resume active charge of the pari-mutucl department at Latouia during this meeting, although his health is improving rapidly. His physician saj a that care and rest will restore him to perfect health, and thai by fall he should be able to resume his duties on the Kentucky tracks.
