VF.XETA STROME took the lead at once and, showing great speed, won all the way. LORD ELAM. always prominent, moved up gamely after entering the homestretch, but tired in the last furlong. CAKRILLON tired, but came again in the final furlong and would have been second in another stride. MICHAEL ANGELO began slowly and closed a big gap. TA NUN DA ran well and finished close up. The latter suffered from repeated Interference in the first half mile and, finishing with a rush through the stretch, would have won in a few more strides. CAMELLIA showed the most early speed, but tired in the final drive. FLORIDAS BEAUTY was lame when going to the post. ROD AND GUN closed a gap. AUTO MAID ran well to the stretch and quit badly.
