THOROUGHBRED HORSES IN BELGIUM. According to the latest edition of the Belgian Stud Book, which has just been published, there are forty-three sportsmen in that country who are devoting themselves to the breeding of thoroughbred stock, the chief of them being the Yicomte de Buisseret. M. F. Wittouck. M. K. Drugman. M. 11. Wilmart, Mr. George Ashman. M. F. Brugmann. M. II. Vm-beylewegben, M. F. du Four. M. F. Coppee, Baron Lunden. Baron A. della Faille dBuyse, M. A. Joitv. M. II. Van den Staepelc M. T. Lammcaa. and M A Yan Hiusbergh. There are thirty-six thoroughbred stallions at the stud in Belgium, seventeen of them being id English origin, ten Belgian, eight French, and one American. There are 388 broodmares inscribed in the Stud Book, of which 171 are English. 131 Belgian. 74 French, and 11 of other nationalities.
