Furlong finished beaten off last The ride that Molesworth gave him came in for criticism This jockey of late has been showing timidity and while riding John Furlong refrained from going through along the iciler rail when he had several opportunities to move into positionWard a prominent position Ward Webers Solar Star which has been coming in for attention ou account of some phe ¬ nomenally fast private trials gave a sparkling ex ¬ hibition of speed In the second race In which he met wnne fair youngstejs and which he won with mar velous ease iu fast time Many conservative horse ¬ men who
