NEW TRACE ABOUT READY HAVRE DE GRACE COURSE TO BE AVAILABLE FOR USE THE COMING WEEK Four Hundred Stalls Will Be Ready by August 10 Stake of 1500 Added Value to Be Run on onOpening Opening Day To Close Coming Saturday Baltimore Md August G The Harford Agricul ¬ ture and Breeders Association under whose auspices the racing at Havre de Grace will be con ¬ ducted announce that the Havre de Grace Handicap 1500 added will lie the attraction for the oj eii ing day of the meeting This will be a race for threeyearolds and upward distance one mile and an eighth Entries for it will close on Saturday of this week It is announced that the Harford Agriculture and Breeders Association intends to distribute about 3000 daily in purses on some such basis GOOThe as two of 400 two of 500 and two of GOO The new track is a regulation mile course and will be ready for the horses by August 0 when the course will have been completed and about 400 stalls will be available for occupancy Horsemen occupancyHorsemen who patronize the Havre de Grac meeting may participate in three months of 0011 tinuous racing in this vicinity if they so desire Following the Havre de Grace meeting of thirty days there will be racing at II D Browns Lauret track thonghoiit the month of October and this will be followed by a full month of racing at Pimlico and Jamestown all of which tracks are within easy shipping distance of each other otherNew New York August G John G Cavanagh returned yesterday from a visit to the new racetrack at Havre de Grace Md where a thirty days meeting will begin on August 20 Mr Cavanagh who will have charge of the betting ring says that the track will compare favorably with some of the New York race courses and that under the control of the Jockey Club the racing will attract many of the leading stables The officials are well known as those who acted on the New York tracks As it is impossible to secure the services of starters Cassldy Dade or Holtman the barrier will he handled by C n Pettingill Secretary Fred IJehberger will issue the program for the meeting within a short i time
