TURFMEN SYMPATHIZE WITH M J WINN Louisville Ky August 10 Col M J Winn manager of the Churchill Downs and Juarez race courses received scores of messages last night and today expressing the deep sympathy of turfmen and others throughout America and Mexico for the loss of his wife whose death occurred yesterday at tho family residence 000 West Broadway Mrs Winn who was born here January lf 1807 and who be ¬ came the wife of Colonel Winn ou November 30 1SS8 had been ill for a year She was graduated from Nazareth Academy aud last Juno her daugu ter Miss Mary Winn graduated from the same In ¬ stitution Colonel and Mrs Winn attended the com ¬ mencement exercises which marked the last public appearance of Mrs Wiun She possessed beauty and was widely known throughout the city for her kindly acts Today the turfmen at Douglas Park and Churchill Downs had a beautiful floral design sent to the Winn residence The funeral will bo cou ducted from the Cathedral of the Assumption to morrow morning
