AT WORK ON NEW TRACK Montreal Quo September The engineers struck their level yesterday for the grading on the new racetrack to be constructed this fall at St Michael about thirty minutes ride from the center of the city and a mile north of Delorimier Park The new plant will be built In an uptodate manner and the course will be six furlongs with ehutes for races at one mile and seven furlongs Three hun ¬ dred and fifty stalls will be erected and the grand ¬ stand will seat five thousand persons A syndicate headed by Victor Lemay who was responsible for the building of Delorimier Park Is financing the vcrt ure Trotting as well as running races will be con ¬ ducted at the new track next season The grading will be done this fall so that the track will have a chance to settle and be tit to race over In the spring of the year This is thought advisable because of the heavy fr9st liere early ill tlje spring
