GOSSIP FROM BLUE GRASS REGION Lexington Ky December 21 N B Davis the Latonia turfman was here this week and made four additions to the racing string he will have at Charleston this winter From Will Perkins he bought Fauna the twoyearold filly by Wools thorpe Clara Bauer from A J Gorey the yearling chestnut filly by Transvaal Cerina from T U Nichols the yearling bay colt by Transvaal Mary Bess and the yearling bay colt by Transvaal Laiy Eon EonLast Last Sunday morning Superintendent Ross har ¬ rowed the front stretch of the main track at the Kentucky Association grounds and opened it for those who had not had an opportunity to try out yearlings John Rodegap worked the bay colt by Marta Santa Lutie Mac and the bay filly by Royal Flush HI Auroceiver a quarter in 2475 Mr Rodegap considered it good work in view of thev limited training the youngsters have had Allen Steele worked the bay colt by Knight of the Thistle Autcline a quarter in 24 Raleigh Colston showed a quarter iu 24i with the Out of Reach Miss Mc Meekin colt and the filly by Wcolsthorpe Lura lighter went in 24 for Will Perkins PerkinsPete Pete Coyne trainer of the George I Long horss came from Louisville yesterday to spend a few days with relatives He says all of the Long horses ex ¬ cept the yearlings are turned out at Rushforil Manor Farm and that they are all in good condition conditionGeorgp Georgp B Ott who is now training his own horses at the Kentucky Association course has been ill but was able to be out yesterday for the first timu In two weeks
