j • . d I. e e d MARLBORO PROGRAM IS ANNOUNCED. Baltimore, Md., March 24. — The program for the first four days of the coming meeting at Marlboro has been announced by the Southern Maryland Fair and Racing Association. There are to be six races each day and no purse will be less than 00, with handicaps of 00. The initial days sport on April 2 will be marked by the running of the District Handicap for three- year-olds and upward at a mile and a sixteenth. On the second day the Rennert Hotel Steeplechase is offered. It is for four-year-olds and upward over the short course. On the fourth day there will be two special attractions — the Emerson Hotel Handicap for three-year-ohls, at one mile and twenty yards, and the Belvedere Hotel Steeplechase, for four-year-olds and upward, over the Columbia Course. There is a movement on foot to change the dates of the Marlboro meeting, but it probably will not succeed. The Maryland track management has been asked to change its dates from April to June 1 to IO, so as not to conflict with the meeting of the Jamestown track in Virginia. This request was made by Bob Ievy, manager of the Norfolk meeting, with the approval of the Jockey Club.
