FORWARDS FAST RACE AT EPSOM The Cesarion colt Forward which AV A Mc Enery bought last spring and took to England was bought last fall by Lord St Davids for 5000 For the latter ho has won some good races and shown himself to be one of the swiftest sprinters in Eng ¬ land On the first day of the recent Epsom meeting he won the Edgmont Plate at fiveeighths of a mile from seventeen opponents and ran the distance in 50 This was over si straight course The English record is 55 made over the same track by Great Surprise and Ivevanger Forwards record comes next in front of Master AVillies long sfcmdhig mark of 50 which was the English record until it was surpassed by Great Surprise undLevaiiger The lat ¬ ter was one of the unplaced horses in Forwards
