MORE RAIN FALLS AT ALAN Spokane Wash June 24 A heavy downpour of rain occurred while the homes were on their way to the post in the third race and continued during the running It was the closest finish that has taken place during the meeting four horses pass ¬ ing the judges noses apart Lieut Sawyer after appearing to be a forlorn hope came with a ter ¬ rific end rush and received the verdict by a nose Oscuro followed and got second place and by the same margin Stoneman which had cut out the pace faltered in the last twenty yards and finished fourth fourthDoneaster Doneaster repeated his recent winning perform ¬ ance In the fourth race raceM M C Keefe claimed Little Bit for 575 but he did not have the required amount of money on deposit and the claim was disallowed
