D A ROSS DIES IN THE FAR WEST Vancouver B C August 4 Daniel A Ross a former wellknown owner of thoroughbreds died last week at his home hero after a short illness Mr Ross was born at Woodstock Out in 1S34 and many years ago he raced a string of horses on the tracks of eastern Canada in partnership with John Forbes a prominent racing man of Toronto aflerwards raced some useful horses In the west among others Massa Royal Rogue The Mist anil May L N The funeral took nlnco vestofdiiy and was largely attended by the racing fraternity now gathered here
