HARRY GIDDINGS YOUNG RACERS. Toronto. Ont.. November 2S. The two-year-olds, now yearlings, in the stable of Harry Giddlngs. of OaUville. will number four for next seasons racing, Onlv one of the lot is a colt, the other three being fillies. In tho matter of eolts. the stable Is not as fortunate as last season, when the three youngsters that made up the baby division of the string were all of that sex. The bright particular star of the quartet, which gives promise of developing into a better horse than even St. Bass. Hearts of Oak. Oudramou or Beehive, Is Harry Bassett II. He is a handsome looklug big bay colt of excellent couforina- Hon and for whom the Oakville turfman lias already refused many tempting offers. The list with their breeding follows: Harry Bassett II.. b. c, by Bassetlaw My Honey brother to Beehive. Oakdene, b. f. by Bassetlaw Lady Betz sister to St. Bass and Venus Urania. Martaleua, cli. f. by Martimas -My Maryland half sister to Widow Wise. Otero, b. f. by Bassetlaw Cuba Free. Of the three fillies, Oakdene. the sister to St. Bass, is at present the most promising looking. , In her work this fall since being broken she has also shown the most speed of the trio.
