MORTALITY AMONG HUNGARIAN SIRES, During the present year 191.1, says the "All-geineiiie Sport Zeltung" Vienna, the Hungarian oyernment have lost by death no fewer than siine-cn thoroughbred stallions, none of them over yenty years old. Among them were three winners the Austrian Derby, in Arulo, Carrasco, and Vtyrian, while a fourth, Gallfard, ran second for tic Austrian Blue KIbbon to Pardon, and then won hc German Derbv at Hamburg. Arulo was foaled nn 1895, Gallfard in 1S9C, Carrasco in 1S9S, and Styrian in 1904. The remaining dead stallions In-r eluded Simon Passe by Isinglassl. imported in 1910, Vaga, Ma, Culliuan, Frog. Peridot an imported son of Persimmon, and others.
