HORSES IN THE COCHRAN STABLE. New York, May 28.— The stable to be raced this spring by Alex Smith Cochran and his brother. Giflford A., is a large one. Seventeen racers belonging to these sportsmen are stabled at Belmont Park in charge of W. M. Midgely. Pis Majesty, l.arly Rose. Peaceful and Decoy are the members ol the string that will race iu the colors of Alex Smith Cochran. His Majesty, a four-year old call by Ogden— Her Majesty, that unfortunately went wrong last spring, is in training again and should he return to his best form will be worthy of consideration iu any company. Parlv Rose, a three-year-old lilly by Star Shoot— Lady Bedford, promised great things on her spring form at Belmont Park last year, but raced disappointingly thereafter. She wintered well and is in good condition at present. Despite her poor form of last summer she is well thought of by the stable connections, as is evidenced by her many stake engagements. She was nominated for the Metropolitan, the Ladies Landicap, tlie Withers, Larchmont, Toboggan ami Pelmont handicaps. Peaceful and Decoy are two three-year-old maidens. The first named has never faced the barrier and is named in the Withers and Toboggan handicaps and the Harlem Selling Slakes. Decoys stake engagements are the Withers ami Harlem. Figinny. Connemara and eleven two-year-olds will race in the interest of Gilford A. Cochran. Figinny. a three-year-old Pisguisi — Homespun colt, made a good beginning by liuishing second for tlie Metro uoiltan Handicap yesterday, lie has been nominated for most of tin- big stake events to be decided during the meeting. Connemara. is an Imported three year old lilly by Ardoou — Powerscout and has yet to earn brackets. She has been nominated iu the Withers and Harlem. Of the eleven two-year-olds that will race for G. A. Cochran. Incognita, a bay filly by Disguise — Homespun and a sister to Figinny. is considered the best. She has been nominated for the Keew" Memorial, the Fashion and Laureate stakes. Mr. Cochran has engaged his two year olds liberally iu the stake events for youngsters to be run during tlie present meeting.
