J. 0. KEENE SELLS A FAST YEARLING. Lexington. Ky.. December 10. As a result of W. H. Karricks visit here earlier in the week. Schuyler L. Parsons, of New York, todav bv telegraph bought from J. O. Keene the fast yearling lilly by Peter Quince- Micaela, by Watercress, out of Silea. by Sir Modred. The price paid was not made public, hut it is known to be up into the thousands. Keene bred the tilly himself and broke; and tried her out. She ran a epiarter of a mile well iu hand with high weight up in 22, and ICeeue be-lieve-s she will win the Breeders Futurity next spring. She is entered in all of the principal eastern stakes. Karrick will train her. Poeketpieee. dam of Old Coin and other winners! is now In the Wickliffe stud.
