STATE OF RACING IN ENGLAND Possibly the announced restriction of racing in England to Newmarket Heath will lead to such In ¬ crease and extension of dates as to make provision for the running there of the greater events of the Epsom Ascot and Doncaster meetings Further there may be permission for racing elsewhere than at Newmarket At any rate a cablegram from London to the New York Sun says The Jockey Club has announced that the government interposes no objection to the arrangement of an extra race meeting at Newmarket which will i for the purpose of keeping horses in training and facilitat ¬ ing the yearling sales The club stewards have reason to hope they say that racing nlso will he allowed at Nowburv later in the year
